#ciboamico
10 free food and emotional education sessions to combat anorexia and bulimia.
Lifeness #ciboamico
LIFENESS, the organization committed to promoting food education and well-being, announces the launch of its first project dedicated to those who experience a conflictual relationship with food: "Lifeness #ciboamico".
This innovative program, consisting of 10 free sessions, is designed to address eating disorders such as anorexia and bulimia, aiming to re-establish a harmonious relationship with food, with oneself, and with life.
The project was conceived by Daniela Galdi, a nutrition expert and life coach, with the aim of spreading nutritional education to prevent chronic diseases, raise awareness of healthy food choices, and intervene in situations of conflict with food.
Lifeness #ciboamico is created in collaboration with an authoritative scientific committee composed of Professor Lucio Rinaldi, psychiatrist and psychotherapist, professor of Psychiatry at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart and head of the Psychiatry Day Hospital of the Adolescent and Nutritional Disorders Area at the Policlinico Gemelli, and Professor Giuseppe Merra, internal medicine doctor, PhD in oncobiology and oncology, professor of Applied Dietetic Sciences and Techniques at the University of Tor Vergata in Rome, one of the leading experts on microbiota.
The project also features the participation of professional chefs from the Italian Chef Academy in Rome, led by Chef Emiliano Lopez, who will share values, emotions, and awareness at the table to promote the well-being of body and spirit. Cooking thus becomes a powerful tool in addressing an urgent public health issue: according to the WHO, eating disorders are the second leading cause of death among young people aged 12 to 25.
Also participating in the project are the Campagna Amica Foundation—established on the initiative of Coldiretti—which is constantly engaged in projects shared with medical and scientific organizations, because food is an important tool for prevention as well as culture, aggregation, and knowledge. Filiera Italia also plays a key role in ensuring access to healthy, high-quality food for consumers, starting with the younger generations. This promotes authentic Made in Italy agri-food products as a reference model for future global food challenges.
“Lifeness #CiboAmico” includes 10 free meetings, held at the Italian Chef Academy, located in a villa surrounded by greenery in the heart of northern Rome. In this relaxing environment, far from the hustle and bustle of the city, participants will be immersed in a journey that combines culinary experiences, open dialogue, and sensory activities.
During the meetings, topics such as the importance of the Mediterranean diet, the fight against fake food news, and seasonal awareness will be addressed. Participants will have the opportunity to learn how to create healthy and delicious dishes, experimenting with fresh, local ingredients, in harmony with the surrounding environment.
The culmination of the project will be a grand final lunch, prepared entirely by the participants under the guidance of professional chefs. This celebratory moment will conclude with the awarding of diplomas and music, symbolizing the success of the journey and the beginning of a new chapter of well-being.
“Lifeness #CiboAmico” aims to be not a treatment but a life experience, a dialogue between mind, body, and food. The project aims to re-establish a healthy relationship with food throughout life, addressing the root causes of eating disorders and promoting a holistic approach to individual well-being.
